Why you should become a member
As a member of the Forestry School's student union, many doors open for you.
The union maintains regular contact with key figures in the industry, and throughout the year, you can attend lectures from a variety of companies.
The international network IFSA (International Forest Students' Association) offers you the chance to travel abroad and meet forestry students from around the world.
The student union's hunting and conservation association grants access to 7,000 hectares of hunting land, kennelling space, and the opportunity to purchase moose meat at favourable prices.
You'll have the chance to attend formal dinners* and Thursday pub nights. You'll also enjoy other benefits and discounts, and not least, the chance to win great prizes in the membership lottery.
*To attend formal dinners, a party contract is required, committing you to work at four dinners during your first three years. Working at these events is more enjoyable than you might think and very educational!
